Operation Scope

REGULATORY

The Imo state lotteries and gaming authority (IMLGA) regulates and issues licenses as well as registering and certifying all gaming operations, ensures that the interest of all stakeholders in the industry are adequately protected, provides trainings for licensees, their agents and key employees, and to liase and cooperate with national and international bodies with a view to promoting standard best practises in Imo state.

REVENUE COLLECTION

The Authority is also saddled with responsibility of generating and collecting revenue/ funds which shall consist of monies accruable from; license fees paid to the Authority, gaming levies and penalties, grants from the state or federal government or any other authorised source, and proceeds from investments.

RESPONSIBLE GAMING

The Authority holds all its operators to the highest operational standards geared at ensuring that the vulnerable and underaged persons are prohibited from partaking in any lottery and gaming activity through constant sensitisation awareness and monitoring to curb gaming addiction in the industry.

MONITORING AND INSPECTION

The Authority is also empowered to periodically measure the operator’s general performance or practices as against her established standards. To carry out due diligence, scrutiny, and investigating all activities with adequate enforcement for effective compliance.
